Matthew A. Bailey
Matthew Bailey comes to Maxwell Tillman after working for several years heading the Post-Conviction and Appellate department at a premier Alabama criminal defense firm. While there, he worked on cases ranging from misdemeanors to capital murder. During his time there, he was able to get numerous clients released on parole and was a successful advocate for clients in post-convictions petitions and on appeal.
A native of Huntsville AL, Matthew attended the University of Alabama School of Law, where he received a Certificate in Public Interest Law, Order of Samaritan Award, Dean’s Community Service Award, was an editor of and was published in the Law and Psychology Journal, and he was admitted to the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
At Maxwell Tillman, Mr. Bailey primarily works on criminal and civil appeals, civil rights cases, and in pardons and paroles. Mr. Bailey has seen success inside and outside of the courtroom and is willing to fight to get you the best outcome possible. He will patiently guide you through the sometimes complicated process and ensure that you understand exactly what is going on in your case.
